Jubilee Weekend website 2.jpg

The Jubilee Weekend is nearly upon us. And with a ton of events and activities being made free for the public, here are 6 knowledge-filled activities that you can do with your loved ones on this celebratory period.

1. Fort Siloso

Home to the Nation’s largest collection of World War II memorabilia and the only preserved coastal fort, Fort Siloso is filled with life-sized replicas and exhibits that will remind you of yesteryear.

With guided tours being free till 10 August, you can get to retrace the historically preserved remains at the fort to discover the purpose of the various fortified structures and the guns they serve, ending with a visit to the Surrender Chambers to witness the two historic surrender moments that changed the life of the people of Singapore during WW2.

2. ArtScience Museum

From 7 to 10 August, Singaporeans and Permanent residents can enjoy free admission to the ArtScience Museum. Be sure to read my review of "The Deep" Exhibition, which is the largest collection of deep-sea animals that you can now enjoy for free (Usual Price: $11 for Adults and $7 for Child).

Not only do you get to enjoy free admission, but there are also some workshops and activities throughout the 4-day period.

Singapore citizens will also receive free admission to six other SCS attractions - the “Human Body Experience” exhibition, “Interplay: Where Science Meets Art” exhibition; KidsSTOP™, Snow City, The Cliff @ Snow City and the Omni-Theatre - based on each attraction’s capacity.
